To demonstrate progressiveness and adaptability with changing times, Asia Pacific Biosafety Association (A-PBA) called for a timely rebranding exercise. The professional association, which has grown as a network across 42 countries, was picking up pace in their efforts to provide useful resources to specialists in the field. While understanding the association's needs, we made sure the website we were developing had processes simplified and automated; for example, a back-end system that supports members' sign-up, members' directory, event registration and payment, and nomination for positions. Using this as a platform to reinforce A-PAB's presence in the region, we took the opportunity to enhance the association's logo by incorporating an icon of a globe. We also handpicked a high-contrast yellow, which closely follows the look and feel of a biosafety symbol, one that industry professionals are highly familar with. Read More »

With the business sphere broadening beyond the typical brick-and-motar stores, we are seeing an increase in businesses that are keen to explore opportunities on virtual platforms. Soon Yuan Vegetarian Food was one of them. With the intention to preserve their brand tradition and heritage, Soon Yuan had explicitly asked for red to be retained as its primary brand colour and a logo that represents their brand in Chinese. While we would not have recommended this to our other clients, these pre-requisites were relevant and apt for the Singaporean vegetarian community. We built on these requirements and gave the logo a touch of green to associate the brand with vegetarian or "eating greens". The logo was later applied to Soon Yuan's brand and marketing assets such as name cards and catering menu. We also presented a web solution that facilitates preorders and delivery. For an aesthetically pleasing web experience, we paid careful attention to the optimisation of full-screen images. Read More »

The need to stay relevant welcomes improvements to business processes and practices. But as with many public relations and marketing practitioners, we asked, "What's the use if our target audience isn't seeing what we have worked so hard to show?" The key to this question is the importance of communication and branding. edufarm was one of many clients who approached BlueCube Media for this reason. Specifically for edufarm, the objective was to stay fresh and current. For a web experience that is visually appealing and reflects the characteristics of a playgroup school, we designed cartoons to illustrate innocence while incorporating vibrant colours to bring across enthusiasm and young energy. To reinforce brand consistency, we based our web design theme off the "farm" element, which can be seen represented as a footer image. Read More »

While conceptualising on a website design for Yang Zheng Tang Traditional Chinese Clinic, we were determined to bring out the oriental charms of this science; yet break the stereotype that associates only the elderly with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment methods. From a design perspective, we decided on a mix of bright red and earthy brown, which were used to bring across concepts such as "traditions", "balance" and "elements". To shape and guide impressions, we payed extra attention to the choice of images. Finally, as information related to TCM could be jargon-heavy, we also incorporated icons for better understanding of the services provided. Read More »
